Abstract

Student achievement reporting plays a crucial role in supporting the attainment of Key Performance Indicators (IKU) in higher education. This study aims to analyze the motivation of Universitas Negeri Semarang students in reporting their achievements, both from intrinsic and extrinsic factors, as well as to identify obstacles and the university’s role in encouraging reporting practices. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed by distributing questionnaires to 200 respondents. The research instrument consisted of 30 items covering five indicators: intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, reporting barriers, the university’s role, and the impact of achievement reporting on academic and career development. The findings indicate that students’ motivation is generally high, dominated by intrinsic factors such as pride and responsibility, and extrinsic factors including recognition, encouragement from lecturers, and career-related benefits. However, challenges remain, particularly concerning procedural complexity, limited socialization, and lack of information. Instrument validity testing confirmed all items as valid, while reliability testing showed a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.816, indicating high reliability. These results highlight that simplifying procedures, strengthening socialization, and providing incentives are essential strategies to optimize student achievement reporting and support university IKU attainment. ABSTRAKPelaporan prestasi mahasiswa merupakan aspek penting dalam mendukung capaian Indikator Kinerja Utama (IKU) perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang dalam melaporkan prestasi mereka, baik dari faktor intrinsik maupun ekstrinsik, serta mengidentifikasi hambatan yang dihadapi dan peran universitas dalam mendorong pelaporan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan penyebaran kuesioner kepada 200 responden. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari 30 butir pertanyaan dengan lima indikator utama, yaitu motivasi intrinsik, motivasi ekstrinsik, faktor penghambat pelaporan, peran universitas, serta pengaruh pelaporan prestasi terhadap karier dan akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi, dengan dominasi faktor intrinsik berupa rasa bangga dan tanggung jawab, serta faktor ekstrinsik berupa penghargaan, dorongan dari dosen, dan manfaat karier. Namun, mahasiswa masih menghadapi hambatan berupa kerumitan prosedur, kurangnya sosialisasi, dan keterbatasan informasi. Uji validitas instrumen menunjukkan seluruh item valid, sementara uji reliabilitas menghasilkan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,816 yang tergolong sangat baik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penyederhanaan prosedur, peningkatan sosialisasi, dan pemberian insentif merupakan strategi penting untuk meningkatkan motivasi pelaporan prestasi mahasiswa sehingga mendukung pencapaian IKU universitas.
