<![CDATA[AbstractMost social scientists see that the presence of postmodernism is as anti-modernism, but according to the author there is no clear boundary between the "modern world" and "postmodern world". In this paper, I try to examine important aspects related to the postmodern paradigm in the context and its development as a paradigm. I also analyzed whether the presence of postmodern thought could be the answer to the social crisis that had been accused of modernism as the cause. In completing this article, I conducted a literature study and descriptive analysis related to this topic.Keywords: Modernism, Post-Modernism, Paradigm, Social CrisisAbstrakKebanyakan para ahli ilmu sosial melihat bahwa kehadiran pemikiran postmodernisme adalah sebagai anti dari modernisme, namun menurut penulis belum ada batasan yang jelas antara dunia modern dan dunia postmodern. Dalam paper ini, saya berusaha mengkaji aspek-aspek penting yang berkaitan dengan paradigma postmodernisme dalam konteks dan perkembangannya sebagai sebuah paradigma. Saya juga menganalisis apakah kehadiran pemikiran postmodernisme ini bisa menjadi jawaban atas krisis sosial yang selama ini dituduhkan kepada kaum modernism sebagai penyebabnya.
