Literary psychology is a literary study that views literary works as a psychological activity. Studying literature basically discusses various values of life related to the formation of individual characters, because in teaching literature plays a role in developing personality, language, cognitive, affective, and psychomotor as well as developing social personality. This study aims to describe the melancholic, choleric, phlegmatic, and sanguine personalities of the four characters in the novel Kata using a qualitative descriptive research method. The data source used is the novel Kata by Rintik Sedu. The data in this study are excerpts from sentences in the novel Kata by Rintik Sedu. From the results of this analysis, it can be concluded that in the novel Kata by Rintik Sedu there is a personality structure that focuses on melancholy, choleric, phlegmatic, and sanguine in the four characters namely Binta, Nugraha, Biru, and Cahyo and there are character education values namely religious, nationalist, independent. Mutual cooperation, and integrity.
