Abstract

Pelaksanaan program tahfidz Al-qur’an dalam pendidikan Islam memiliki tantangan dalam menyusun pembelajaran yang efektif. Perbedaan latar belakang kemampuan yang dimiliki masing-masing individu, melalui ability grouping atau pengelompokan dapat meningkatkan hafalan Al-qur’an. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan dengan jenis studi kasus, bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan ability grouping dalam program kelas tahfidz di SDIT AL-Anis. Melalui strategi pengelompokan berdasarkan kemampuan (ability grouping) diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran tahfidz, serta dampak terhadap pendidikan dan karater siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan ability grouping dalam program tahfidz memberikan dampak yang positif dan signifikan. Pengelompokan berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan hafalan menjadikan proses pembelajaran yang efektif. The implementation of the Al-qur’an memorization program in islamic education has challenges in designing effective learning. Differences in the background of abilities possessed by each individual, trough ability grouping can improve memorization of the Al-qur’an. This study uses a qualitative approach and with a case study type, aims to determine the application of ability grouping in the tahfidz class program at SDIT Al-anis. Through the grouping strategy based on ability (ability grouping) applied in the tahfidz learning process, as well as the impact on student education and character. The results of the study show that the application  of ability grouping in the tahfidz program has a positive and significant impact. Grouping based on the level of memorization ability makes the learning process affective.
