ABSTRACT Fractures caused by trauma or physical pressure often require surgery and cause postoperative pain that can hinder recovery. Murottal therapy is considered effective as a non-pharmacological method for providing relaxation, stimulating endorphins, and reducing pain. This study aims to examine the effect of murottal therapy on pain reduction in patients after fracture surgery at Gunung Jati Hospital in Cirebon. This study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach involving 65 participants selected through accidental sampling. The intervention involved the recitation of Surah Ar-Rahman for 20 minutes. Pain levels were measured using the NRS and analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that before the intervention, the majority of patients experienced moderate pain (71.4%), while after the intervention, most experienced mild pain (80.3%). Statistical analysis revealed a p-value < 0.05, indicating a significant effect of the recitation therapy on pain reduction. Thus, the recitation therapy of Surah Ar-Rahman is effective as a non-pharmacological intervention for reducing post-operative pain following a fracture.
