Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kepuasan siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Otomotif selama Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL) serta implikasinya terhadap motivasi berkarir di bidang otomotif. Penelitian dilakukan pada 32 siswa jurusan Teknik Sepeda Motor di Kota Padang yang melaksanakan PKL di bengkel resmi Honda dan Yamaha dengan teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket skala Likert yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas, dilengkapi dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan uji korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor pembimbing dan pengawasan memperoleh skor tertinggi (Mean = 5,000), diikuti lingkungan kerja (Mean = 4,922). Analisis korelasi mengungkapkan hubungan positif signifikan antara kepuasan PKL dan motivasi berkarir (r = 0,488; p = 0,005). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pengalaman PKL yang berkualitas berkontribusi penting terhadap peningkatan motivasi siswa untuk berkarir di sektor otomotif. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the satisfaction of vocational high school (SMK) automotive students during their internship (Praktik Kerja Lapangan, PKL) and its implications for career motivation in the automotive sector. The research involved 32 students from the Motorcycle Engineering program in Padang City who carried out internships at official Honda and Yamaha workshops using a total sampling technique. The research instrument was a validated and reliable Likert-scale questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation. The results showed that mentoring and supervision obtained the highest score (Mean = 5.000), followed by the work environment (Mean = 4.922). The correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between internship satisfaction and career motivation (r = 0.488; p = 0.005). These findings highlight that high-quality internship experiences play a crucial role in enhancing students’ motivation to pursue careers in the automotive industry.
