<![CDATA[Language is an important component in the process of transforming science, ideas or thoughts. Among the oldest languages is Arabic, and it is also the language of the Qur'an and Sunnah without Arabic one will not be able to understand the book and Sunnah correctly and results in a weak religious understanding in understanding the teachings of Islam. This research aims to discuss the urgency of learning Arabic to deepen Islamic religious knowledge and to know that understanding Arabic is important for the Muslim community in Indonesia. The research method used is qualitative descriptive which will narrate the data obtained in the field clearly. The results of the research found are that Arabic has an urgency in exploring Islam due to: 1) the main source of Islamic religious teachings in Arabic, 2) the works of scholars who discuss religious science are written in Arabic, 3) the study of science will be more valuable if it is based on Arabic postulates and, 4) the lack of Muslim scholars who are experts in Arabic]]>
