ABSTRAK Stunting pada balita dan Kekurangan Energi Kronis (KEK) pada ibu hamil masih menjadi masalah kesehatan yang signifikan di Desa Sawakong, Kecamatan Galesong Selatan dengan jumlah kasus 34 anak tergolong stunting dan 9 Ibu hamil KEK. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang gizi serta kurangnya pemanfaatan sumber pangan lokal bergizi seperti jagung. Mayoritas penduduk di Desa Sawakong adalah petani jagung, namun limbah tongkol jagung yang memiliki potensi kandungan serat dan gizi tinggi masih kurang dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Tujuan Pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk memberdayakan kader posyandu melalui pelatihan pembuatan “Baruassa Tekoja,” kue tradisional Makassar yang diolah dengan tambahan tepung tongkol jagung sebagai sumber serat dan nutrisi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pelatihan teknis pengolahan, edukasi gizi ibu hamil dan balita, serta pendampingan produksi. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan status gizi ibu hamil dan balita sekaligus menurunkan angka kejadian stunting di Desa Sawakong melalui pemanfaatan bahan lokal yang berkelanjutan. HasilProgram PKM di Desa Sawakong berhasil mengembangkan camilan bergizi "Baruasa Tekoja" berbasis tepung tongkol jagung untuk intervensi stunting pada balita. Pelatihan teknis meningkatkan kapasitas kader dan ibu rumah tangga dalam produksi pangan bergizi. Produk mengandung 63,02 Kkal energi, 0,8 g protein, dan mikronutrien seperti zat besi dan zinc. Uji konsumsi menunjukkan tingkat penerimaan tinggi dan indikasi perbaikan status gizi balita. Inovasi ini mendukung pencapaian SDGs terkait pangan, kesehatan, ekonomi, dan produksi berkelanjutan serta memperkuat kemandirian masyarakat dalam pengelolaan pangan lokal. ABSTRACT Stunting in toddlers and Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in pregnant women remain significant health issues in Sawakong Village, Galesong Selatan District, with 34 stunted children and 9 pregnant women with CED. One of the contributing factors is the low community knowledge about nutrition and the underutilization of nutritious local food sources such as corn. Most residents in Sawakong are corn farmers, but corn cob waste, which has potential high fiber and nutritional content, is still underutilized. Purpose This community service aims to empower posyandu cadres through training in making "Baruasa Tekoja," a traditional Makassar cake processed with added corn cob flour as a source of fiber and nutrients. The methods include technical processing training, nutrition education for pregnant women and toddlers, and production assistance. This activity is expected to improve the nutritional status of pregnant women and toddlers while reducing stunting incidence in Sawakong Village through sustainable utilization of local ingredients. Result The PKM program successfully developed a nutritious snack "Baruasa Tekoja" based on corn cob flour for stunting intervention in toddlers. Technical training increased the capacity of cadres and housewives in producing nutritious food. The product contains 63.02 Kcal energy, 0.8 g protein, and micronutrients such as iron and zinc. Consumption trials showed high acceptance and indications of improved toddler nutritional status. This innovation supports the achievement of SDGs related to food, health, economy, and sustainable production, as well as strengthens community independence in managing local food resources.
