Abstract

This study aims to determine the mediating role of organizational commitment variables on job satisfaction and turnover intention among Generation Z workers in Karawang. It employs a quantitative method using convenience sampling with a sample size of 349 individuals. Data collection utilized questionnaires distributed directly via Google Forms. Measurement tools included the short-form Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ), the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ), and the Turnover Intention Scale (TIS-6). Data analysis was conducted using JASP version 0.16, employing path analysis. Hypothesis testing results indicated that organizational commitment does not mediate the relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intention (p = 0.561 > 0.05). Job satisfaction significantly influences turnover intention (p = 0.008 < 0.05), and organizational commitment significantly influences turnover intention (p = 0.001 < 0.05). However, job satisfaction does not significantly influence organizational commitment (p = 0.558 > 0.05). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran mediasi variabel komitmen organisasi terhadap variabel kepuasan kerja dan turnover intention pada tenaga kerja generasi Z di Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan convenience sampling. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 349 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan disebarkan secara langsung menggunakan google formulir. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) versi short-form, skala Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ), dan Turnover Intention Scale (TIS-6). Data dianalisis menggunakan JASP versi 0.16. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis jalur (path analysis). Hasil uji hipotesis menyatakan bahwa komitmen organisasi tidak berperan sebagai mediator pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap turnover intention (p = 0,561 > 0,05). Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap turnover intention (p = 0,008 < 0,05) dan komitmen organisasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap turnover intention (p = 0,001 < 0,05). Namun, kepuasan kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasi (p = 0,558 > 0,05).
