Abstract

This community service activity is motivated by the importance of instilling savings habits from an early age, but is often hampered by teaching methods that are less engaging for children. At Miftahul Jannah Kindergarten (TKQ), students' understanding of the concept of saving is still limited and has not yet become an independent habit. Therefore, this program focuses on fostering interest and awareness of saving through an edutainment approach that combines interactive socialization with creative piggy bank painting activities. The implementation method involves three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation stage consists of an interactive lecture using visual media to explain the concept of saving, followed by hands-on practice of painting piggy banks as a visual-spatial medium. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of the importance of saving, as evidenced by the emergence of relevant questions. Furthermore, students demonstrated high enthusiasm for the painting activity, which effectively stimulated their creativity and self-expression. It was concluded that the playful learning approach through socialization and piggy bank painting activities proved highly effective. This activity successfully instilled early financial awareness in a fun way and provided a meaningful learning experience for young children. ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya menanamkan kebiasaan menabung sejak dini, namun seringkali terkendala oleh metode pengajaran yang kurang menarik bagi anak-anak. Di TKQ Miftahul Jannah, pemahaman siswa tentang konsep menabung masih terbatas dan belum menjadi kebiasaan mandiri. Oleh karena itu, program ini berfokus untuk menumbuhkan minat dan kesadaran menabung melalui pendekatan edutainment yang menggabungkan sosialisasi interaktif dengan kegiatan kreatif melukis celengan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tiga tahap: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Tahap pelaksanaan terdiri dari ceramah interaktif menggunakan media visual untuk menjelaskan konsep menabung, yang dilanjutkan dengan praktik langsung melukis celengan sebagai media visual-spasial. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap pentingnya menabung, yang ditandai dengan munculnya pertanyaan-pertanyaan relevan. Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan antusiasme yang sangat tinggi dalam kegiatan melukis, yang secara efektif merangsang kreativitas dan ekspresi diri mereka. Disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan belajar sambil bermain melalui sosialisasi dan aktivitas melukis celengan terbukti sangat efektif. Kegiatan ini berhasil menanamkan kesadaran finansial awal secara menyenangkan dan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna bagi anak usia dini.
