<![CDATA[Hypertension has become a World Health Problem, hypertension is not infrequently followed by pain in the head area so that it can cause psychological trauma to reduce pain can use non-pharmacological pain management one of which is Benson Therapy .The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of benson therapy scale reduction in the level of pain in the head of hypertensive patients at UPT Puskesmas Karimunjawa Jepara. In this case, the researcher uses quasi-experimental approach by using pretest-posttest group design and control design. Subjects were selected by incidental sampling technique as many as 34 people. The research instrument used headache observation sheet using Numerical Rating Scale and standard operational procedure of benson therapy. For the method of data analysis in this study can use Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney Test nonparametric. Most of the headache scale before given benson therapy is moderate as many as 12 people (70.6%) while the headache scale after given benson therapy is mild as many as 9 people (52.9%). Showed the effectiveness of benson therapy to reduce the scale of headache in hypertensive patients at UPT Puskesmas Karimunjawa Jepara with a p value of 0.000 < α 0.05.]]>
