Abstract The direction and strategy of moral development must continue to be carried out and developed in order to prepare an excellent and civilized generation for the future. Therefore, in this regard, the researcher conducted a study on "The Direction and Strategies of Moral Development for Students (Santri) at Al Yasini Islamic Boarding School in Pasuruan." This research aims to describe the direction and strategies for moral development of students (Santri) at Al Yasini Islamic Boarding School in Pasuruan. This study used a qualitative approach with the natural environment as the direct source of data. The data collection procedures included observation, interviews, and documentation. The researcher used descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques for analysis. The results of this study indicate that the direction of moral development for students (Santri) is aimed at implementing Islamic teachings, shaping the personality of students, and equipping them to live in society. Meanwhile, the strategies for moral development of Santri are carried out through the Islamic boarding school curriculum, advice and guidance (mauidah hasanah), role modeling (uswatun hasanah), and the habituation of an Islamic way of life. The implications of this research include changes in the behavior of Santri, a more Islamic environment within the boarding school, and an improved public perception of the boarding school.
