Abstract

The application of humanist learning theory in the implementation of the collaborative learning model in learning science and science subjects in grade 5 at SDN 005 Batu Enggau still faces obstacles. This obstacle occurs because teachers do not yet understand how to plan learning tools to apply humanistic and collaborative models in science and science learning in grade 5 elementary school. The aim of the research is to determine the application of humanist learning principles with a collaborative learning model after the teacher held a focus group discussion with the researcher and together with the researcher planned learning tools with a humanist approach through the collaborative learning model. The research method is qualitative research with teacher, student and school principal respondents. The determination of respondents, namely purposive sampling, was based on the research objectives. Snowball sampling occurs through involving participants according to respondents. The research procedure begins with the researcher compiling learning instruments and tools by applying humanist principles, through a collaborative learning model, carrying out research using interview and observation techniques. Data analysis through coding, data reduction, data display, temporary conclusions and final conclusions that occurred during the interview process. The research results obtained from teacher respondents had prepared, implemented and evaluated the application of learning using humanist principles. Through a collaborative learning model. The student respondents have prepared, implemented and produced a performance in the form of a simple sound funnel project and the principal respondent has facilitated the preparation, implementation and evaluation of the implementation of science and technology learning so that students produce a simple sound funnel project performance.
