<![CDATA[This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the discovery learning model inteaching poetry writing to eleventh-grade students of MAN 2 Indramayu in the2024/2025 academic year. The research employed an experimental method with anonequivalent control group design, involving class XI F5 as the experimental group(25 students) and XI F3 as the control group (35 students), selected throughpurposive sampling. Data were collected using written tests and observation sheets.The results showed an increase in the average score of the experimental class from59.5 to 83.39 after the treatment. An independent samples t-test revealed that tcount= 2.376 > ttable = 2.032, indicating that H1 was accepted. These findingsdemonstrate that applying the discovery learning model is effective in improvingstudents’ poetry writing skills while also enhancing their learning engagement.]]>
