<![CDATA[Background: Hypertension is still a problem in of health that is often found in various parts of the world. One of the causes that make hypertension cases increase is the lack of public knowledge. The way that can be done to improve one's knowledge is health education by providing appropriate and effective methods so that the information conveyed can be applied properly. Methods: This type of research was is a literature review. Articles were obtained using a database with online searches downloaded on Google Scholar, Research Gate, Pubmed, Proquest, Science Direct, Garuda Portal and Neliti with analysis of the articles used the PICO technique. Results: Using 15 articles that have been analyzed with methods that can be used including the lecture method, guidance and counseling method, group discussion method and interview method. In addition, the combined methods include counseling and interview methods, lecture methods and group discussions, as well as counseling and counseling methods. Conclusion: Appropriate and effective methods in providing health education about hypertension for the elderly are very diverse and need to increasing public knowledge as early as possible to reduce the incidence of hypertension, especially in the elderly.]]>
