<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to determine the types of psychological conflict and the factors that cause psychological conflict in the main characters in the films "Mama Loves Me Once Again" and "Mulan: Rise of a Warrior". In this research, qualitative descriptive research methods and documentation analysis techniques were used. The data source in this research is the dialogues spoken by the main characters in the two films which describe the psychological conflicts experienced by the main characters. The results of this research are as follows: (1) the types of psychological conflicts that occur in the film "Mama Loves Me Once Again " is avoidance – avoidance conflict and multiple approach – avoidance conflict; whereas in the film "Mulan: Rise of a Warrior" there is approach – approach conflict, avoidance – avoidance conflict, approach – avoidance conflict and multiple approach – avoidance conflict. (2) the factors that cause psychological conflict in the film "Mama Loves Me Once Again" include personal factors which include biological factors, sociopsychological factors which are divided into affective components and cognitive components as well as sociogenetic factors which include curiosity motives, competence motives and the need for attachment and love; whereas in the film "Mulan: Rise of a Warrior" these are personal factors which include biological factors, attitudinal factors, emotional factors, and sociopsychological factors, namely conative components and sociogenetic motives which include curiosity motives, competence motives, self-esteem motives, the need for feeling. security, the need for self-fulfillment and the need for values, desires and meaning of life.]]>
