The population in this study were students in grades 4 and 5 of SD N 2 Jrakah. Sampling used total sampling by taking samples from 41 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data were processed using the SPSS program to analyze (testing univariate analysis in the form of frequency distribution and bivariate analysis with the Kendall Tau C test) univariate and bivariate analysis using frequency distribution and the Kendall Tau C test. Results: Knowledge about disasters is related to preparedness in facing the eruption of Mount Merapi p=0.006; r=0.342. Conclusion: Knowledge about disasters is related to preparedness in facing the eruption of Mount Merapi with a weak correlation.
