<![CDATA[The digital era demands a transformation in educational practices, particularly in developing higher-order thinking skills. This research aims to conduct an in-depth study on the integration of Deep Learning (DL) technology in Indonesian language learning as an innovative strategy to foster metacognitive abilities in elementary school students. Metacognition, which refers to the awareness and ability to control one's own thought processes, is considered a crucial foundation for lifelong learning success. Through a literature review approach, this article analyzes how DL features such as personalized learning paths, automated feedback, and predictive analytics can be utilized to create an adaptive and reflective learning environment.The study's findings indicate that the integration of DL enables the creation of personalized learning experiences, where each student can reflect on their strengths and weaknesses in real-time. This intelligent system can present learning challenges that correspond to the student's zone of proximal development, thereby encouraging them to plan, monitor, and evaluate their own learning strategies. Nonetheless, its implementation requires careful consideration of ethical challenges, infrastructure readiness, and teacher competency. It is concluded that DL holds significant potential to revolutionize Indonesian language learning by making it more meaningful and student-centered, while simultaneously fostering independence and responsibility for the learning process, ultimately preparing students to face the complexities of the 21st century]]>
