<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Kecelakaan kerja adalah suatu kejadian yang dapat menimbulkan kerugian baik waktu, harta, benda, properti maupun korban jiwa, termasuk kecelakaan kerja di laut oleh pengemudi motor sangkut. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab kecelakaan kerja berdasarkan karakteristik pengemudi motor sangkut dan kondisi teknis kapal. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian cross sectional dengan teknik sampel accidental sampling, diperoleh 92 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor karakteristik pengemudi motor sangkut cukup baik ada 43,5%, faktor teknis kapal dalam kondisi cukup baik ada 47,8%, dan kejadian kecelakaan di laut ada 53,3%. Kesimpulan menunjukkan ada hubungan faktor karakteristik pengemudi motor sangkut dengan kecelakaan di laut (p value = 0.004), dan ada hubungan faktor kondisi teknis kapal dengan kecelakaan di laut (p value = 0.000). Saran, diharapkan pengemudi motor sangkut meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan keselamatan kerja di laut dan memenuhi persyaratan kondisi kapal yang layak dalam aspek keselamatan kerja. This study aims to identify the factors that cause work accidents based on the characteristics of the boat drivers and the technical condition of the boat. This study used a cross-sectional research design with accidental sampling technique, obtained by 92 respondents. The results of the study showed that the characteristics of the boat drivers were quite good at 43.5%, the technical factors for the boat being in fairly good condition were 47.8%, and the incidence of accidents at sea was 53.3%. The conclusion shows that there is a relationship between the characteristics of boat drivers and accidents at sea (p value = 0.004), and there is a relationship between the technical condition of boat and accidents at sea (p value = 0.000). Suggestions, it is hoped that boat drivers will be involved in increasing their knowledge and skills of work safety at sea and meeting the requirements for proper boat conditions in the aspect of work safety.
