This study using a descriptive qualitative method to analyze the representation of multiculturalism in the film. Meskina, a romantic comedy film, portrays the dynamics of the Moroccan diaspora community in the Netherlands, particularly focusing on millennial women or the second generation living amid Dutch multiculturalism, as seen from the perspective of the main character. Using Stuart Hall’s theory of representation and Aart van Zoest’s semiotics, this study reveals the shift in cultural values between the first and second generations of the Moroccan diaspora, especially in aspects of marriage, career, language use, and clothing style. The first generation is portrayed as holding firmly to their traditional values or cultural roots, while the second generation is more integrated into their surroundings but faces challenges in balancing Dutch culture with their original cultural identity. The purpose of this study is to describe the authentic representation of multiculturalism within the Moroccan diaspora in the Netherlands as depicted in the film Meskina. The findings conclude that Meskina successfully represents the life and cultural dynamics of the Moroccan diaspora in the Netherlands in accordance with today’s reality.
