<![CDATA[Burns are damage to the skin caused by external factors, such as heat, cold, radiation, electricity, chemicals, and friction. Health education is an effort to provide health information regarding first aid for burns. The peer group method allows group interaction and generates social interaction. The aim of this study is to find out whether there is an influence of health education using the peer group method on the knowledge of first aid for second-degree burns in housewives. The method used in this study was Pre-Experiment using Pre-Post Test Design Without Control. The sampling technique used was Purposive Sampling with 40 respondents. The results of the study showed that most respondents were 36-45 years old, with 19 respondents (45.5%), and had senior high school as their last level of education, with 16 respondents (40.0%). Pre-test score for knowledge was in the low category with 40 respondents (100%). Meanwhile, 35 respondents (87.5%) had good post-test scores, while 5 respondents (12.5%) had moderate post-test scores. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Based on this value, it can be concluded that there is an influence of health education using the peer group method and knowledge of first aid for second-degree burns in housewives Abstrak Luka bakar adalah kerusakan pada kulit tubuh yang disebabkan oleh faktor luar seperti panas, dingin, radiasi, listrik, bahan kimia, dan gesekan. Pendidikan kesehatan merupakan upaya memberikan informasi kesehatan tentang pertolongan pertama luka bakar. Metode peer group memungkinkan interaksi kelompok dan menghasilkan rasa sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode peer group terhadap pengetahuan pertolongan pertama luka bakar derajat II pada ibu rumah tangga. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Pre Eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain penelitian yaitu Pre-Post Test Design Whitout Control. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah Purposive Sampling sebanyak 40 responden. Hasil penelitian ini karakteristik responden adalah sebagian besar berusia 36-45 tahun sejumlah 19 (45,5%), berpendidikan terakhir SMA dengan jumlah 16 (40,0%) responden. Nilai pre-test pengetahuan kategori kurang sebanyak 40 responden (100%). Sedangkan untuk nilai post-test dengan kategori baik sebanyak 35 responden (87,5%), kategori cukup 5 responden (12,5%). Hasil uji wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai p-value sebesar 0,000 (p˂0,05), berdasarkan nilai tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode peer group terhadap pengetahuan pertolongan pertama luka bakar derajat II pada ibu rumah tangga.]]>
