<![CDATA[In the build phase, one of the problems facing the sidoarjo regency is employment. High populatian growth resulting labor supply is also high. it is not offset by the demand for labor. The number of workers absorbed by a sector of the workforce. movement of economic activity in various sector in the district of Sidoarjo should also be followed by the ability of each sector to absorb in the labor market.This study aimed to determine the effect of population growth and economic growth in the employment sector to sector in Sidoarjo district in 2004-2009 and the dominant sector in sectoral employment. This research is descriptive quantitative approach demometrik full, ie models based on economic and demographics. The independent variable in this study is population growth (X1) and sectoral economic growth(X2) and the dependent variable (Y) is the sectoral employment. The data analysis technique used is Ordinary Least Squared (OLS). The results showed that the growth of population and economic growth in nine sectors effect on agricultural employment and trede in the district of Sidoarjo. The dominant sector in the sectoral employment is agriculture.]]>
