This study aims to determine the extent of the implementation of Supreme Court Regulation Number 1 of 2024 concerning Restorative Justice at the Soasio District Court and to determine what factors are inhibiting the implementation of Supreme Court Regulation Number 1 of 2024 concerning restorative justice at the Soasio District Court. The research method used is an empirical research method with an empirical juridical research approach or empirical-sociological research. The research results show that over approximately 11 months, from June 2024 to April 2025, 82 criminal cases met the requirements for restorative justice as stipulated in Article 6 of Supreme Court Regulation Number 1 of 2024. Of these 82 criminal cases, only two were resolved through restorative justice by the Soasio District Court. This was due to several factors hindering the implementation of the Supreme Court regulation. These factors include difficulty in bringing the victim to justice due to distance, the victim's fear of threatening their safety due to the defendant and the defendant's family, the defendant's difficulty in fulfilling the victim's request due to the defendant being detained during trial and unable to contact their family, and a lack of public understanding of the application of restorative justice.
