PERAN KEDISIPLINAN SISWA DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI AKADEMIK DI SDN JETISHARJO : PERSPEKTIF ORANG TUA DAN GURU DALAM KONTEKS DEEP LEARNING

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis definisi kedisiplinan menurut orang tua dan guru, implementasinya di rumah dan sekolah, dampaknya terhadap proses pembelajaran, serta hubungan antara kedisiplinan dengan prestasi akademik siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan observasi pada orang tua dan guru di lingkungan sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedisiplinan diartikan oleh orang tua sebagai kebiasaan anak dalam menjalani rutinitas belajar dan tugas tanpa paksaan, sedangkan guru lebih menekankan pada ketepatan waktu, ketaatan terhadap aturan di kelas, serta penyelesaian tugas dengan tertib. Implementasi kedisiplinan di rumah melibatkan pengaturan waktu belajar, pembatasan penggunaan gadget, dan pembagian tugas rumah, sementara di sekolah diterapkan sistem poin dan penguatan karakter setiap pagi. Dampak kedisiplinan terhadap proses pembelajaran tercermin pada meningkatnya fokus siswa, keterlibatan aktif dalam kelas, dan ketekunan dalam mengerjakan soal sulit. Siswa yang disiplin juga menunjukkan prestasi akademik yang lebih baik, khususnya dalam mata pelajaran Matematika dan Bahasa Indonesia. Selain itu, orang tua dan guru berperan penting dalam menguatkan nilai kedisiplinan melalui teladan dan pengawasan, meskipun terdapat tantangan dalam hal waktu dan perhatian. Penerapan metode pembelajaran yang lebih mendalam (deep learning) juga terbukti lebih efektif bagi siswa yang memiliki kedisiplinan tinggi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kedisiplinan memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan prestasi akademik siswa, serta mempengaruhi perkembangan karakter mereka. Kata kunci: kedisiplinan, prestasi akademik, pembelajaran, peran orang tua, peran guru, deep learning. Abstract: This study aims to identify and analyze the definition of discipline according to parents and teachers, its implementation at home and school, its impact on the learning process, and the relationship between discipline and students' academic achievements. The research method used is interviews and observations with parents and teachers in a primary school setting. The results of the study show that parents define discipline as the habit of children following their learning routine and completing tasks without being forced, while teachers emphasize punctuality, adherence to classroom rules, and orderly completion of tasks. The implementation of discipline at home involves setting a study schedule, limiting gadget usage, and assigning household chores, while at school, a point system and character reinforcement every morning are applied. The impact of discipline on the learning process is reflected in the increased focus of students, active involvement in class, and perseverance in solving difficult problems. Disciplinary students also show better academic performance, particularly in Mathematics and Indonesian language subjects. Furthermore, both parents and teachers play an important role in reinforcing discipline through example and supervision, although challenges such as time constraints and limited attention are present. The application of deeper learning methods (deep learning) has also been proven to be more effective for disciplined students. This study concludes that discipline plays a significant role in improving the quality of learning and academic achievement, as well as influencing the development of students' character.
