<![CDATA[This research aims to determine the level of understanding of football coaches regarding early childhood development in Tanjung Mulia. It could be said that the development of football schools in Tanjung Mulia is still uneven. The only football schools that have seen progress are the teams that already have big names. This research uses a survey method, a type of quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The method of collection in this research was using a questionnaire. The sample in this study was 15 coaches from 25 Football Schools in Tanjung Mulia. The research results show that the trainer's overall understanding is in the "High" category, especially in the sub-focus of coaching objectives. Meanwhile, sub-facilities, training programs, achievement targets, funding and support from other parties are in the "Enough" category. The lowest percentage was obtained in the facilities sub-focus, with 81%. Coaches understand the purpose of coaching and the importance of achievement targets, but support from other parties and funding are also important factors in coaching. Most trainers already understand the goals of the training they will achieve, but the training program must be adapted to the capacities and characteristics of the children being trained. It is hoped that this research can provide input to increase trainers' understanding in developing early childhood soccer athletes in Tanjung Mulia.]]>
