In understanding and expressing themselves, introverted students sometimes find it difficult to do so. So when problems arise, introverted students tend to withdraw and prefer to keep their emotions to themselves. Therefore, the role of guidance and counseling teachers is very influential in increasing the confidence of introverted students in trusting others. The humanistic counseling approach emphasizes the importance of comprehensive understanding of the individual. Through humanistic counseling, particularly with the principles of empathy, authenticity (congruence), and unconditional positive regard, guidance counselors can help students improve their self-confidence and interpersonal communication. The purpose of this article is to enable guidance counselors to help introverted students who find it difficult to share their personal concerns by using a humanistic counseling approach.
