Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of this research is to investigate the effect of financial literacy on the students consumptive behavior at the State Senior Secondary School Muhammadiyah Program Khusus (PK) Kottabarat of Surakarta in Academic Year 2016/2017. This research used the quantitative descriptive research method. The population of the research was the students of the mathematical and natural sciences and the social science program of state senior secondary school of Muhammadiyah Program Khusus (PK) Kottabarat of Surakarta in Academic Year 2016/2017. The sample of the research were 2 classes of the school because the population was only 44. The data of the research were gathered through test and questionnaire. The former was for the financial literacy value, and the latter was for the consumptive behavior score respectively. The result of the research shows that the financial literacy has appositive and significant influence of consumptive behavior, it based on the result of tcount 2,407 > ttable 2.048 with significance value 0,023. The result of simple regression analysis had equation Y = 53,721 + 1,803 X..Keywords: Financial Literacy, Consumptive Behavior, financial knowledge, financial behaviorABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh financial literacy terhadap perilaku konsumtif siswa SMA Muhammadiyah Program Khusus (PK) Kottabarat Surakarta Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA dan X IPS Sma Muhammadiyah Program Khusus (PK) Kottabarat Surakarta Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Sampel diambil dari keseluruhan populasi karena jumlah populasi hanya 44 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan angket, tes digunakan untuk mengetahui nilai financial literacy dan angket digunakan untuk menilai skor perilaku konsumtif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa financial literacy memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif, hal ini didasarkan pada perolehan thitung 2,407 > ttabel 2,048 dan nilai signifikansi 0,023. Hasil analisis regresi sederhana diperoleh persamaan Y= 53,721 + 1,803 X.Kata Kunci: Financial Literacy, Perilaku Konsumtif, Financial Knowledge, Financial Behavior
