PENGARUH TINGKAT KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL DAN MINAT BACA TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR AKUNTANSI

ABSTRACTThe objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) the effect of emotional intelligence to the learning achievement in accounting student of grade XI Accounting of State Vocational High School 1 Sukoharjo; (2) the effect of reading interest to the learning achievement in accounting student of grade XI Accounting of State Vocational High School 1 Sukoharjo; (3) the effect of emotional intelligence and reading interest to the learning achievement in accounting student of grade XI Accounting of State Vocational High School 1 Sukoharjo. This research used descriptive quantitative method. The population of this research are all of student grade XI Accounting of State Vocational High School 1 Sukoharjo as many as 108 students. The sample of this research determined by simple random sampling as many as 52 students. Questionnaires and documentation are used as data collection tools. Data Analysis techniques that used is Regression test with sig. level 0,05. The results of this research are (1) there is a positive and significant effect emotional intelligence toward learning achievement in accounting of student grade XI Accounting of State Vocation-al High School 1 Sukoharjo with the result 0f test significance value 0,000 <0,05. (2) there is a positive and significant effect reading interest toward learning achievement in accounting of student grade XI Ac-counting of State Vocational High School 1 Sukoharjo with the result of test significance value 0,000 <0,05. (3) there is a positive and significant effect emotional intelligence together with reading interest toward learning achievement in accounting of student grade XI Accounting of State Vocational High School 1 Sukoharjo with the result of test Fcount> Ftable (55,855> 3,19) and significance value 0,000 <0,05. The Regression line is Y = 15,379 + 0,395X1 + 0,601X2.Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Reading Interest, Learning Acheivement in AccountingABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh: (1) kecerdasan emosional terhadap prestasi belajar akuntansi siswa kelas XI Akuntansi SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo, (2) minat baca terhadap prestasi belajar akuntansi siswa kelas XI Akuntansi SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo, (3) kecerdasan emosional dan minat baca secara bersama-sama terhadap prestasi belajar akuntansi siswa kelas XI Akuntansi SMK Negeri 1 Suko-harjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah se-luruh siswa Kelas XI Akuntansi SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo yang berjumlah 108 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 52 siswa. Teknik pengum-pulan data yang digunakan adalah angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan kecerdasan emosional terhadap prestasi belajar akuntansi siswa kelas XI Akuntansi SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo ditunjukkan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05., (2) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan minat baca terhadap prestasi belajar akuntansi siswa kelas XI Akuntansi SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05., (3) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan kecerdasan emosional dan minat baca secara bersama-sama terhadap prestasi belajar akuntansi siswa kelas XI Akuntansi SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai Fhitung lebih besar dari Ftabel yaitu: 55,855 > 3,190 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,695 yang artinya sebesar 69,5% kedua variabel ini secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi Prestasi Belajar. Persamaan garis regresi Y = 15,379 + 0,395X1 + 0,601X2Kata kunci: Kecerdasan Emosional, Minat Baca, Prestasi Belajar Akuntansi
