The implementation of online SIM services through the SIM Nasional Presisi (SINAR) application by the Palembang Police is an innovative step in improving the efficiency and quality of public services in the field of traffic. This service allows the public to extend SIM A and C online without having to come directly to the SIM Administration Service Unit (SATPAS), thereby reducing waiting times and the potential for brokering practices. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of online SIM services at the Palembang Police using qualitative descriptive methods. Data were collected via observation, interviews with staff and users, and document analysis. Findings indicate that the online SIM system enhances access, speeds up administrative processes, and improves transparency, but faces challenges including low public awareness, limited digital skills, and occasional technical issues. In addition, additional requirements such as psychological tests and online health checks are also challenges for some applicants. In conclusion, although online SIM services at the Palembang Police have had Supports the advancement of public service performance, further efforts are needed in terms of improving technological infrastructure, training officers, and educating the public to achieve optimal effectiveness.
