AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan problematika pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis Majelis Taklim komunitas muslimah di Kecamatan Tuah Madani, Pekanbaru. Metode kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Majelis Taklim di lokasi penelitian belum menjalankan fungsi utamanya sebagai pusat pemberdayaan masyarakat (center for community development). Analisis berdasarkan tiga dimensi pemberdayaan—enabling (memungkinkan), empowering (pengkapasitasan), dan protecting (perlindungan)—mengungkapkan bahwa ketiganya tidak terimplementasi dengan baik, khususnya dalam aspek ekonomi. Aktivitas yang ada masih terbatas pada pengajian keagamaan dan kegiatan sosial dasar. Problematika utama yang diidentifikasi meliputi: (1) pemahaman pengurus dan jamaah yang terbatas mengenai fungsi pemberdayaan Majelis Taklim; (2) kurangnya pemahaman tentang makna dan ruang lingkup pemberdayaan masyarakat; serta (3) tidak optimalnya peran ustaz/ustazah dalam memberikan pendampingan dan fungsi advokasi (protecting). Disimpulkan bahwa diperlukan upaya peningkatan kapasitas dan perubahan paradigma agar Majelis Taklim dapat mengoptimalkan potensinya sebagai agen perubahan sosial dan ekonomi.Kata Kunci: Pemetaan, Problematika, Majelis Taklim Dan PemberdayaanAbstractThis study aims to map the problems of community empowerment based on Muslim women's Majelis Taklim in the Tuah Madani District, Pekanbaru. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the Majelis Taklim in the research location have not yet performed their primary function as a center for community development. An analysis based on the three dimensions of empowerment—enabling, empowering (capacity-building), and protecting—reveals that none of these dimensions have been implemented effectively, particularly in the economic aspect. Existing activities are still limited to religious lectures and basic social events. The main problems identified include: (1) the limited understanding of the administrators and congregation regarding the empowerment function of Majelis Taklim; (2) a lack of understanding of the meaning and scope of community empowerment; and (3) the suboptimal role of the religious teachers (ustaz/ustazah) in providing mentoring and serving an advocacy function (protecting). It is concluded that efforts to enhance capacity and a shift in paradigm are necessary for the Majelis Taklim to optimize their potential as agents of social and economic change.Keywords: Mapping, Problems, Majelis Taklim and Empowerment
