<![CDATA[Iron deficiency anemia is occurred due to lack of iron within the body, so that the amount of iron for erythropoiesis does not meet the requirement. Petai (Parkia speciosa Hassk) which is widespread in Indonesian archipelago, contain high existence of iron is supposed to be able to increase hemoglobin level in white mouse blood (Rattus norvegicus). The research was carried out by using petai from Wonosari whose made to dry extract by using freezedryer. Petai seed extract (Parkia speciosa Hassk.) injected to Wistar rat (Rattus norvegicus). Data analysis was using One Sample t-Test and ANOVA test in order to find out the effect of the doses towards pharmacological effect. The result showed that petai seed extract (Parkia speciosa Hassk) gave effect towards the enhancement of hemoglobin level (Hb) within white mouse blood (Rattus norvegicus). However, the optimum dosage was not able to be determined yet.]]>
