<![CDATA[Abstrak Fenomena El Nino merupakan gangguan iklim yang terjadi akibat interaksi atmosfer dan lautan di Samudra Pasifik, yang berdampak pada kestabilan iklim di wilayah Indonesia. Dampak ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap usahatani padi, yang berpotensi menurunkan produktivitas dan pendapatan petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh El Nino terhadap usahatani padi serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kemampuan adaptasi petani. Metode yang digunakan berupa survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, dan analisis data melalui Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) menggunakan SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan adaptasi petani dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal, seperti usia, pendidikan, pengalaman, tanggungan keluarga, dan luas lahan; serta faktor eksternal, yaitu peran penyuluh sebagai motivator, fasilitator, inovator, dan komunikator. Namun, peran kelompok tani memberikan pengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap adaptasi petani dalam menghadapi dampak El Nino. Ketiga faktor tersebut berkontribusi dalam adaptasi petani padi terhadap dampak El Nino di Desa Bonto Padang Kecamatan Kahu.Kata kunci: Petani Padi, Adaptasi Dampak El Nino, Peran Penyuluh Pertanian, Bonto Padang.Abstract The El Nino phenomenon is a climate disturbance caused by interactions between the atmosphere and oceans in the Pacific Ocean, which affects climate stability in Indonesia. This has a significant impact on rice farming, potentially reducing productivity and farmers' incomes. This study aims to examine the impact of El Nino on rice farming and the factors that influence farmers' ability to adapt. The method used is a survey with a descriptive quantitative approach, and data analysis through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS. The results of the study indicate that farmers' adaptive capacity is influenced by internal factors, such as age, education, experience, family responsibilities, and land area; as well as external factors, namely the role of extension workers as motivators, facilitators, innovators, and communicators. However, the role of farmer groups has a positive but insignificant influence on farmers' adaptation to the impacts of El Nino.
