Pemberdayaan Ibu-Ibu PKK Desa Samatan Melalui Praktik Budidaya Tanaman TOGA

Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) are a local nature-based solution for improving family health independently. The current condition reveals that the TOGA plants in the Samatan Village Garden are not well-managed (neglected) by the Samatan Village PKK group, and the group's members do not understand the health benefits of TOGA plants. Therefore, as the implementation team, we are conducting a service activity as a solution to the problems faced by the Samatan Village PKK group. The types of plants introduced include butterfly pea flowers, roselle, cat's whiskers, purple leaves, and seven thorns. The results of the service activities that we have carried out show a 100% increase in TOGA cultivation efficiency, 100% active participation from all group members with full involvement in practice, a 94.50% increase in participants' understanding, and 100% of group members are now able to apply TOGA cultivation techniques correctly and appropriately. In addition to providing health benefits, this activity also offers business opportunities for herbal products, thereby enhancing the economic well-being of the group and promoting the independence of the mothers in the Samatan Village PKK in the field of family health.ABSTRAKTanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) merupakan solusi lokal berbasis alam dalam meningkatkan kesehatan keluarga secara mandiri. Kondisi saat ini menunjukkan tanaman TOGA di Taman Desa Samatan belum dikelola dengan baik (terbengkalai) oleh kelompok Ibu-Ibu PKK Desa Samatan dan anggota kelompok belum memahami manfaat tanaman TOGA bagi kesehatan. Oleh karena itu kami sebagai tim pelaksana pengabdian melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian sebagai solusi terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Kelompok Ibu-Ibu PKK Desa Samatan. Jenis tanaman yang diperkenalkan meliputi bunga telang, rosella, kumis kucing, daun ungu, dan tujuh duri. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian yang telah kami laksanakan adalah efisiensi budidaya TOGA meningkat hingga 100%, Partisipasi aktif 100% anggota kelompok dengan keterlibatan penuh dalam praktik, Peningkatan pemahaman peserta sebesar 93,85%, serta 100% anggota kelompok kini mampu menerapkan teknik budidaya TOGA secara baik dan benar. Selain membawa manfaat kesehatan, kegiatan ini juga memberikan peluang bisnis produk herbal sehingga dapat meningkatkan perekonomian kelompok serta mendorong kemandirian ibu-ibu PKK Desa Samatan dalam bidang kesehatan keluarga.
