A Pengembangan modul pembelajaran ips berbasis stem terintegrasi tri-n untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) berbasis Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) yang terintegrasi dengan ajaran Tri-N (niteni, nirokke, nambahi) guna meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahapan analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi dua ahli (materi dan media), satu guru kelas IV, serta 28 siswa sekolah dasar pada uji coba luas. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar validasi ahli, angket respon guru dan siswa, lembar observasi, dan tes berpikir kritis berdasarkan indikator Ennis. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan menghitung persentase kelayakan, respon, serta efektivitas melalui uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul IPAS berbasis STEM terintegrasi Tri-N memperoleh rata-rata skor validasi sebesar 86% dengan kategori sangat valid. Angket respon guru mencapai 90% dan respon siswa sebesar 88% yang keduanya termasuk kategori sangat praktis. Uji efektivitas menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor berpikir kritis siswa dari rata-rata pretest 56,42 menjadi 78,75 pada posttest dengan N-Gain sebesar 0,61 yang termasuk kategori sedang–tinggi. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan layak, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran sekolah dasar. Modul IPAS berbasis STEM–Tri-N dapat menjadi alternatif bahan ajar inovatif yang mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka sekaligus menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.   This study aims to develop a Science and Social Studies (IPAS) module based on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) integrated with the Tri-N concept (niteni, nirokke, nambahi) to enhance elementary students’ critical thinking skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants consisted of two experts (subject and media), one grade IV teacher, and 28 elementary school students in the field trial. The instruments used were expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, observation sheets, and critical thinking tests based on Ennis’ indicators. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods by calculating percentages of validity, practicality, and effectiveness with an N-Gain test. The results indicated that the STEM–Tri-N integrated IPAS module obtained an average validation score of 86%, categorized as highly valid. Teacher responses reached 90% and student responses 88%, both categorized as very practical. Effectiveness tests revealed an improvement in students’ critical thinking scores, with the average pretest score of 56.42 increasing to 78.75 in the posttest, and an N-Gain score of 0.61 categorized as medium–high. These findings demonstrate that the developed module is valid, practical, and effective for elementary education. The STEM–Tri-N integrated IPAS module can serve as an innovative teaching material alternative that supports the implementation of the Indonesian Merdeka Curriculum while fostering students’ critical thinking skills.
