Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi komunikasi pengelolaan konten edukasi lingkungan melalui microlearning pada akun Instagram @satgascitarum. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, penelitian ini menelaah pemanfaatan video microlearning berbasis videografis dalam meningkatkan literasi lingkungan masyarakat, khususnya terkait isu Sungai Citarum. Fenomena dominasi video pendek di media sosial menunjukkan pergeseran preferensi konsumsi informasi, terutama pada generasi milenial dan Gen-Z yang cenderung menghindari konten berdurasi panjang. Berlandaskan teori Media Richness dan Environmental Communication, penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana pesan edukasi lingkungan dikemas secara ringkas, visual, dan kreatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi konten Instagram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemetaan tema dilakukan secara kontekstual berdasarkan laporan masyarakat melalui aplikasi ISA dan IMA serta isu publik dengan pendekatan riding the wave. Konten disajikan dalam video berdurasi 1–1,5 menit dengan narasi visual yang mudah dipahami, diproduksi melalui kolaborasi tim humas, kreator konten, dan pengelola umum. Umpan balik audiens menunjukkan bahwa format microlearning efektif menyampaikan pesan lingkungan secara ringan namun bermakna sesuai pola konsumsi digital masyarakat saat ini. Abstract. This study examines environmental education content management strategies through microlearning on the Instagram account @satgascitarum. Using a qualitative method with a case study approach, the research explores the use of videographic-based microlearning to enhance public environmental literacy, particularly regarding the Citarum River issue. The growing dominance of short-form videos on social media reflects a shift in information consumption preferences, especially among Millennials and Generation Z, who tend to avoid long-form content. Grounded in Media Richness Theory and Environmental Communication, this study analyzes how environmental messages are delivered in concise, visual, and creative formats. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and content documentation. The findings reveal that content themes are mapped contextually based on public reports submitted through the ISA and IMA applications, as well as trending public issues using a “riding the wave” approach. The content is presented in 1–1.5 minute microlearning videos with easily digestible visual narratives, produced through collaboration among public relations teams, content creators, and general management. Audience feedback indicates that microlearning effectively conveys environmental messages in a light yet meaningful manner, aligning with contemporary digital consumption patterns.
