Complementary Massage Therapy Intervention for Hypertensive Patients to Lower Blood Pressure

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition in which a patient experiences an increase in blood pressure continuously and lasts a long time due to an increase in the performance of the heart pumping blood in meeting the needs of oxygen and nutrients in complementary therapy in the management of hypertension which has recently developed in Indonesia, among others. ; Reflexology, yoga, music therapy, acupuncture therapy. The purpose of implementing complementary therapy in hypertensive patients is to lower blood pressure. Method The author uses a descriptive research method, with a case study approach, this case study was carried out on 2 patients with hypertension by applying the nursing process method. This data was obtained by means of: interviews, examinations, activity observations, obtaining records and diagnostic reports. Results: After 3 days of nursing actions with the diagnosis: Discomfort, dizziness is associated with an increase in blood pressure. with the application of complementary therapy with the results resolved on day 3. Conclusion: Application of complementary therapy in both hypertensive patients can reduce blood pressure. Suggestion: in this study is to promote more about complementary therapy as an alternative therapy for people with hypertension, because one of the benefits of complementary therapy is lowering blood pressure.
