The implementation of public services at the Communication and Information Office of Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Regency is still largely carried out through direct, face-to-face interactions at the office and continues to emphasize manual service mechanisms. Despite the availability of advanced information technology, public services have not yet been fully optimized through online platforms, particularly the official website. Ideally, the Communication and Information Office of Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Regency should be able to provide comprehensive online services to improve service accessibility and transparency. This study aims to examine the role of information technology in enhancing the transparency of public services at the Communication and Information Office of Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Regency. The study is based on the theory of electronic government, which emphasizes the use of information technology in government institutions to improve transparency and the quality of public services. The indicators used to measure transparency include the availability and accessibility of documents, clarity and completeness of information, openness of service processes, and the existence of a clear regulatory framework. The application of these indicators is expected to support the realization of transparent public services through the utilization of information technology. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that service-related documents are relatively easy to access through the official website provided by the Communication and Information Office of Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Regency. The website offers clear and comprehensive information on commonly needed services, such as procedures for filling out forms, as well as regularly updated news. Public service processes can be conducted both online and offline. In cases where online services cannot be provided, the Communication and Information Office directs service users to obtain assistance directly at the office. Furthermore, service regulations are clearly presented and accessible to the public, thereby facilitating a more efficient and well-organized service process.
