<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to increase the student's activity and the student's cognitive skills using cooperative learning method jigsaw type on the subjects of physics, optical. The research method is used classroom action research, with the subject is students in class X-1 of SMA N 1 Wedung year 2016/2017 around 30 students. This research was conducted in two cycles which each cycle consist of four stage, they are planning stage; implementation stage; observation stage and reflection stage. Results of the research on cycle I indicate an increase in students active in the beginning 13,3 % become 46,5 %, while students cognitive skill in cycles I also indicate an increase in the beginning 33.3 % become 70,7 %. On cycle II students activity increased become 78,9 % and students cognitive skill become 83,3 %.  This indicates that cooperative learning jigsaw types able to increase activity and students cognitive skills.]]>
