<![CDATA[This study aims to examine the symbolic and aesthetic meaning of accessories in the traditional clothing of the people of Maleipea Village, South Alor District, Alor Regency. Traditional clothing accessories in this village not only function as fashion accessories but also embody cultural values that represent the identity, social status, and spirituality of the local community. This study employed qualitative methods. Using an ethnographic approach, the study involved data collection techniques, including participant observation and in-depth interviews, to gain a deeper understanding of the role of accessories in daily life and traditional ceremonies. The data analysis technique used was descriptive qualitative analysis. The results show that each element of the accessories, from the material to the color, has its own symbolism, reflecting the community's harmonious relationship with nature and traditional values passed down through generations. Furthermore, the aesthetics of the accessories are reflected in the use of natural materials such as native rattan (tibu), wire, red cloth, chicken feathers, forest deli fruit, thread, and fan belts (van belts) arranged using traditional craft techniques. This research makes an important contribution to the preservation of local culture and serves as a reference for the development of Indonesian cultural studies.]]>
