ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the influence of coding extracurricular activities on the transformation of moral character and the development of creativity among junior secondary school students within the context of Islamic education. The study is motivated by the gap between digital literacy development and character education, as coding activities in schools generally emphasize technical skills rather than moral formation. Most previous studies have focused on computational thinking, while the internalization of religious and moral values through technology-based activities remains underexplored. The research question addresses how the learning process in coding extracurricular activities fosters moral values while simultaneously stimulating students’ creativity. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving 30 students and one supervising teacher at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Sorong City. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing with source triangulation to ensure validity. The findings reveal that coding activities cultivate discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and honesty in project completion, while also enhancing creativity through critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital innovation. These findings contribute theoretically to the discourse on integrating character education and digital literacy within Islamic education, affirming that technology-based activities can function as contextual media for value internalization. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh kegiatan ekstrakurikuler coding terhadap transformasi akhlak dan pengembangan kreativitas siswa SMP dalam konteks pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesenjangan antara penguatan literasi digital dan pembinaan karakter, karena aktivitas coding di sekolah umumnya lebih menekankan keterampilan teknis dibandingkan dimensi pembentukan moral. Sebagian besar kajian sebelumnya berfokus pada computational thinking, sementara aspek internalisasi nilai religius dan akhlak melalui kegiatan teknologi masih terbatas dibahas. Fokus penelitian dirumuskan pada pertanyaan bagaimana proses pembelajaran dalam ekstrakurikuler coding membentuk nilai-nilai akhlak sekaligus menstimulasi kreativitas siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek 30 siswa dan 1 guru pembimbing di MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Kota Sorong. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif, lalu dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan triangulasi sumber. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan coding menumbuhkan disiplin, tanggung jawab, kerja sama, dan kejujuran dalam penyelesaian proyek, serta meningkatkan kreativitas melalui berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, dan inovasi digital. Temuan ini memperkuat kontribusi teoretis mengenai integrasi pendidikan karakter dan literasi digital dalam perspektif pendidikan Islam, sekaligus menegaskan bahwa aktivitas teknologi dapat menjadi media internalisasi nilai secara kontekstual.
