Background: Phlebitis is a common complication of peripheral intravenous catheterization that leads to pain, infection, and prolonged hospitalization. The Visual Infusion Phlebitis (VIP) Score is the global standard for assessing phlebitis severity; however, manual assessment often results in subjective variation, inter-observer inconsistency, and delayed documentation. With advances in health information technology, the use of digital applications or platforms based on the VIP Score is considered to improve the accuracy, precision, and efficiency of phlebitis assessment. Purpose: To assess the scientific evidence related to the use of the visual infusion phlebitis (VIP) score application on the accuracy and efficiency of phlebitis assessment. Method: This Systematic Literature Review was conducted by searching PubMed, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, Google Scholar, DOAJ, and related scientific repositories for articles published between 2014-2025 using the keywords “Visual Infusion Phlebitis Score,” “VIP Score application,” “digital phlebitis assessment,” “accuracy,” and “efficiency.” Eight articles met the inclusion criteria, including studies on VIP Score reliability, digital implementation within health information systems, telemedicine-based phlebitis assessment, and studies examining the effectiveness of VIP Score monitoring. Study quality was assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Critical Appraisal tools. Results: The eight included articles demonstrate that digital VIP Score applications improve accuracy and consistency through higher inter-observer reliability, standardized visual interfaces, and reduced assessment variability among nurses. Integration of the VIP Score into Health Information Systems (HIS) and telemedicine platforms showed enhanced clinical decision-making speed, easier documentation, and improved accessibility of assessment data. However, none of the studies quantitatively measured assessment duration, leaving direct evidence of time efficiency limited despite observed process improvements. Conclusion: VIP Score applications show strong potential to enhance the accuracy and consistency of phlebitis assessment and support process efficiency through digitalization and standardized documentation. Nevertheless, further research is needed to evaluate the direct impact of these applications on assessment speed and clinical outcomes. Pendahuluan: Flebitis merupakan komplikasi umum dari pemasangan intravena perifer yang berdampak pada nyeri, infeksi, hingga perpanjangan lama rawat. Visual Infusion Phlebitis (VIP) score menjadi standar global untuk menilai derajat flebitis. Namun, penilaian manual masih menimbulkan variasi subjektif, inkonsistensi inter-observer, dan keterlambatan dokumentasi. Seiring berkembangnya teknologi informasi kesehatan, penggunaan aplikasi atau platform digital berbasis VIP score dinilai dapat meningkatkan akurasi, ketepatan, dan efisiensi proses penilaian. Tujuan: Untuk menilai bukti ilmiah terkait penggunaan aplikasi visual infusion phlebitis (VIP) score terhadap keakuratan dan efisiensi penilaian flebitis. Metode: Penelitian systematic literature review dilakukan melalui pencarian artikel pada PubMed, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, Google Scholar, DOAJ, serta repositori ilmiah yang diterbitkan pada rentang tahun 2014-2025 menggunakan kata kunci “Visual Infusion Phlebitis Score”, “VIP Score application”, “digital phlebitis assessment”, “accuracy”, dan “efficiency”. Berdasarkan hasil pencarian awal, diperoleh 8 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi meliputi studi reliabilitas VIP score, implementasi digital dalam sistem informasi kesehatan, penggunaan platform telemedicine untuk asesmen flebitis, serta studi terkait efektivitas pemantauan VIP score. Kualitas studi dinilai menggunakan instrumen Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) critical appraisal. Hasil: 8 artikel inti menunjukkan, bahwa penggunaan aplikasi atau platform digital VIP score mampu meningkatkan akurasi dan konsistensi penilaian flebitis melalui reliabilitas inter-observer yang tinggi, tampilan visual terstandar, serta pengurangan variabilitas penilaian antar perawat. Beberapa studi, khususnya integrasi VIP score dalam Health Information System (HIS) dan telemedicine, membuktikan bahwa digitalisasi mempercepat pengambilan keputusan klinis, mempermudah dokumentasi, dan meningkatkan aksesibilitas data penilaian. Namun, belum ada studi yang mengukur durasi penilaian secara kuantitatif, sehingga bukti terkait efisiensi waktu masih terbatas meski indikator proses menunjukkan peningkatan. Simpulan: Aplikasi VIP score terbukti berpotensi meningkatkan akurasi dan konsistensi penilaian flebitis, serta mendukung efisiensi proses melalui digitalisasi dan dokumentasi terstandar. Meskipun demikian, penelitian lanjutan diperlukan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh langsung aplikasi terhadap kecepatan penilaian dan dampaknya terhadap outcome klinis.
