Learning difficulties are a common problem faced by students, having an impact on the quality of education and learning achievement. This study aims to identify the causes of learning difficulties. The results show that STKIP-TB students in semester V like statistical material because Statistics is very important in scientific research, but they have difficulty understanding educational statistics material due to weak basic knowledge of mathematics and difficulty understanding the concept of Statistics. Based on these findings, prevention strategies are suggested through the development of academic ability, increased motivation, and improvement of the quality of the learning environment. This research is expected to contribute to the development of strategies to prevent learning difficulties and improve the quality of education among students.
