This research aims to improve the ability of the concept of summation in mathematics subjects using the media of number bags. Number Bag Media is a learning media that uses number bags that show the value of mathematical places and ice sticks to fill the bag as an indicator of the number of numbers. This study uses the Kurt Lewin model of Class Action Research (PTK) method of participant type which is carried out in 3 cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The purpose of each cycle is to identify learning problems, implement planned actions, and evaluate the effectiveness of those actions. The formulation of the problem in this study is how effective the use of Number Pocket media is on the summation ability of grade 1B students of SD N 064974 Medan Tembung with the research subjects of 23 students. The results of the classroom action research obtained showed that in cycle 1 30.4% of students were completed, in cycle 2 52.17% of students were completed. Meanwhile, in cycle 3, 86.95% of students answered completely. It can be concluded that the use of number pocket media in mathematics learning of summation materials in grade 1B of SD N 064974 Medan Tembung shows a positive impact in increasing student involvement, understanding mathematical concepts, and developing students' numeracy skills effectively.
