This research is motivated by the phenomenon that occurs in adolescents in Panggautan Natal Village, there are adolescents who feel unattractive and disliked by people around them, have difficulty communicating or listening to others and lack of open-mindedness. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of adolescent self-concept on interpersonal communication in families in Panggautan Natal Village, Natal District, Mandailing Natal Regency and how big the influence is. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative type. The population in this study were all adolescents in Panggautan Natal Village, totaling 145 people. The instruments used in this study were the Adolescent Self-Concept measurement scale and the Interpersonal Communication measurement scale. Data analysis used to test the research hypothesis was simple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that there is no influence of the Adolescent Self-Concept variable (X) on Interpersonal Communication (Y) of 2.1%, with this value the F_count value (1.209) < F_table (4.001) and the regression coefficient for the Adolescent Self-Concept variable is 0.036 which indicates that every 1 point increase in the Adolescent Self-Concept variable will increase the Interpersonal Communication value by 0.036.
