This study aims to determine the effective strategies applied in learning Aqidah Akhlak and its impact on character formation of class VIII students at MTs 02 Bengkulu Tengah. The background of this study is based on the importance of character education in forming students' personalities with noble morals in accordance with Islamic values. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that teachers applied various learning strategies such as lectures and guided discussions, contextual approaches, project-based learning, direct role models, giving advice (mau'idhoh hasanah), and joint reflection. These strategies not only convey material cognitively, but also instill moral values affectively and applicatively. The contextual and project approaches encourage students to relate lessons to real life, while teacher role models and personal advice form a strong moral awareness. The implementation of these strategies has proven effective, marked by increased discipline, student attendance, and reduced social conflict in the classroom, especially in class VIII-B. This study also shows that contextual Aqidah Akhlak learning that touches on emotional aspects is more capable of forming students' characters holistically. Thus, collaboration between appropriate learning strategies and the active role of teachers is very important in realizing sustainable character education.
