This thesis examines the role of da'wah carried out through the Massuro Bacatradition in Mattiro Walie Village. The main problem in this study is the role of da'wah in theMassuro Baca tradition. This study has the following objectives: 1) Describe how theprocession in implementing the Massuro Baca tradition in the community in Mattiro WalieVillage, Libureng District, Bone Regency. 2) Analyze and understand the role of da'wah inthe Massuro Baca tradition in the community in Mattiro Walie Village, Libureng District,Bone Regency.This research is descriptive qualitative with a sociological and phenomenologicalapproach. The data sources used consist of primary and secondary data. Data collectionmethods include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collection andanalysis process is carried out in four steps: data reduction, data presentation, dataanalysis, and drawing conclusions.Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the process inthe Massuro Baca tradition is to prepare equipment and food such as plates, spoons, trays,glasses, incense, and food prepared in the form of Sokko, free-range chicken, bananas,and other necessary foods, after all is prepared then one person or host calls a Pabbaca orperson who will pray for the food. The role of da'wah in the implementation of the MassuroBaca tradition is to prevent polytheism, raise the value of Islamic tradition, give alms orshare, increase ties of friendship, and strengthen the tradition of mutual cooperation.
