This case study describes the enhancement of language development among 4–5-year-old children through listening activities using picture books in Group A of PAUD KB Al-Barokah Lendang Beduk, Pengadangan Village, Pringgasela Subdistrict, East Lombok, in the 2024/2025 academic year. The intervention comprised five dialogic read-aloud sessions using locally relevant and thematic picture books. Data were collected via structured observations, field notes, photo/video documentation, and short interviews with the classroom teacher. Data analysis followed thematic procedures—data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Findings indicate improvements in listening attention, comprehension of simple instructions, thematic vocabulary, and the ability to retell pictures coherently. The study highlights picture books as accessible and contextually meaningful media for stimulating language in early childhood settings.
