Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which e-comic flipbooks affect the learning outcomes of students in science at SDN 03 Sungai Raya in grade IV. This study uses a quasi-experimental and quantitative nature. Learning outcomes are the dependent variable (Y), while e-comic flipbook media is the independent variable (X). using students in grades IV A and IV B as the population. There are 29 students in each of grades IV A and IV B. The sampling technique used in this study is nonprobability sampling, a type of saturated sampling. Students in grade IV A are used as the experimental class, while grade IV B is used as the control class. Tests and observations are used for data collection. The average pretest score of the experimental group was 61.20 while the average posttest increased to 77.24. Meanwhile, in the control group, the average pretest was 62.93 and increased to 67.93 in the posttest. The results of the t-test calculation showed that a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.038 <0.05 was obtained, so it can be concluded that the Ha hypothesis is accepted and H0 is rejected, so that the use of e-comic flipbook media does not affect the learning outcomes of science on Indonesian diversity material for class IV SDN 03 Sungai Raya.
