This study aims to analyze halal certificatoin in increasing the income of UMKM in Bukittinggi city, the obstacles experienced by UMKM and the faktotrs that influence the level of thrush of Bukittinggi city recidents towards halal certification in food products. This study is qualitive, the data collection methods user are observasiton, interviews and dokumentacion, data analysis techniques used (data reduction), data display (data presentaion) and the final stage of drawing conclusions. The resulth of the study are that halal certification has a stategic role in increasing the income of UMKM in Bukittinggi city. Consumers exprerince several obstacles in the halal cerification process, such as a lack of understandling of the product, being constrained by cost and being constrained in fulfilling by the credibility of the halal certification agency. Consumens awarennes, clear regulations the role of the mass media and community participation.
