<![CDATA[This study aims to describe learning problems experienced by third-grade students at Antonius V Private Elementary School Medan in their daily learning activities using a descriptive qualitative approach. The background of this research is based on classroom findings indicating that students’ learning problems are not only related to academic aspects but are also closely associated with learning motivation, attention, and daily learning behavior. This study was conducted in a private elementary school in Medan City. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with the classroom teacher, and documentation of learning activities. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the main learning problems in students’ daily learning include gaps in basic literacy and numeracy skills, low learning motivation, short attention spans, passive learning behavior, and students’ dependence on teacher directions. These problems are influenced by both internal student factors and external learning factors. This study provides empirical and contextual classroom-based evidence on the interrelation between literacy, learning motivation, and learning behavior among lower elementary students.
